Lawrence is a 17 year old Chinese Australian boy. After doing poorly in his high school graduation, he is banished to stay with his Uncle for the summer. Lawrence meets the Professor, a colourful, aging conman and escapes on a road-trip with the old man and his daughter. The Professor teaches Lawrence the art of swindling and cheating, but from Sarah, Lawrence learns a hard lesson in unrequited love. As Lawrence and the Professor work towards their biggest scam, Sarah and Lawrence plan a swindle of their own. Lawrence is forced to make a choice between love, life and lies. Is love the biggest scam of all?
